Newport Legends shortlisted for the RPS Awards!

Operasonic is thrilled to announce that Newport Legends has been shortlisted for the Royal Philharmonic Society Awards in the Learning and Participation category. Creative Director Rhian Hutchings commented "I'm absolutely thrilled that Newport Legends has been shortlisted - the RPS Awards have always been a mark of quality. Operasonic is a young company with huge passion for participation and its been amazing to work with such a range of dedicated partners in Newport on this project: The Riverfront Theatre, Community House, Maindee Library, all the artists, singers and players, and the three primary schools - Clytha Primary School, St Woolos Primary School and St Michaels RC Primary School. But of course, it's the young people who wrote and performed the Legend opera who really put us on the shortlist! They made it a very special project." The RPS Awards will be presented on 9th May and the awards ceremony will be broadcast on BBC Radio 3.
